The Everton boss in his statement said - “I had a fantastic striker in Inzaghi, who scored 300 goals and 210 with one touch”.

A striker is expected to be much focused in the box and I think Calvert-Lewin understands very well, because he has speed, he jumps pretty high, he has power in the box.

He also said; “The box is where he has really improved so much”.

Coach Ancelotti understands his gameplay and appears to be getting the best out of Calvert-Lewin, who joined Everton at a £1.5m deal from Sheffield United in 2016.

The 23-year-old’s form was greatly rewarded with a new five-year contract in March.

Manchester United having being on the lookout for another striker as a substitute for Anthony Martial and are also being linked with a shock move for Crystal Palace flop Alexander Sorloth, who has scored 33 goals in a loan spell with Trabzonspor in the previous season.

In stark contract, the Norway forward managed to score just a single goal in 20 appearances for the Eagles following his £9m move from Midtjylland in 2018.
